Francis „GABBY” Gabreski planes All

Date:

Hello,

A lot of time has passed since we realased the last set devoted to Polish pilot in II World War times, who was Bolesław Gładych.

Today we present an announcement of another such set. A pilot who always considered himself as Polish, served in the USAF, although he also had a stint in the Polish Air Force in the West, Franciszek Gabryszewski, better known as Francis "GABBY" Gabreski.

Due to the large volume of the topic, we divided the set into two parts.

During II World War:

After II World War:

As you can see, the first part is ready for print and basically finished. Part two is in progress, we are still collecting materials. At this point, we turn to you with an appeal for help. Although we have material that allows us to reproduce the markings visible on the graphics with 100% or 99% fidelity, we are still looking for additional photos of the F-86 and F-101 aircraft on which Gabreski flew. Perhaps there is someone among you who has such materials. We also came across information that Gabby initially flew the F-84 in Korea, unfortunately we were unable to find any specific data on this subject, especially photos or graphics. Every piece of information, even small and seemingly obvious, will be invaluable.

It doesn't change the fact, that the whole set would not have been created without Mr. Wojciech Łuczak help and especially Mr. Mike Dobrzelecki, whose materials and explanations were invaluable in this case.

We remind you, that is another one such set. There are sets released so far and still available:

D..170 Jan "Donald Duck" Zumbach planes

Gabby isn't the last pilot we intend to deal with. In the process of obtaining materials there are another pilots :)

That's all for today, have a nice weekend.
