It is primarily about satisfying a certain niche, which are decals in unusual scales, decals for models that are released as resin, but also increasingly in 3D printing, but also for less popular paintings. In short, it is about printing decals in very small quantities because serial printing is very unprofitable.
The decals are made using the sublimation printing method, on decal paper fully covered with varnish, so before application, the decals should be cut out quite carefully from the sheet as close to the printing line as possible. The white color is applied together with other colors and also underprinted under other colors, which reduces transparency. The decals respond well to popular decal fluids. At the same time, the printing technology means that in the case of some colors the raster may be minimally visible, which is why we will try to include an actual photo in the product card.
The main problem for us at that time was logistics because we sent decals for printing and they were sold, so there was a long waiting time for the implementation, on the one hand, and on the other, it required a lot of attention from us. We decided to slightly change the form in which we will implement this product and we are introducing it under the new name SPECIAL EDITION. All decals issued in this way will have the SD prefix in the catalog number. The decals will be available immediately, we will try to keep a stock 1 to 5 pieces.
At this time, we will be introducing two types of SD decals. The first ones that will be the new projects and projects which are fragments of our sets in less popular scales and here the first priority are the TS-11 Iskra in 1/48 and 1/32 scales and MIG-21 in the 1/32 scale, because you ask about them most often.
The second type are decals that we have already published in less popular scales, mainly 1/32, but not only, because there will be, for example, Hercules in 1/48.
It is possible that they will be combined with serial decals, like for example for the Belgian F-16 or Swiss F-18 we will attach an available generic sheet with stencils and markings, printed using a traditional method.
The first sets we introduce are primaly Iskra in 1/32 and 1/48 and PZL 37 Łoś in 1/72 and 1/48, as well as several MiG-21 in 1/32.

In addition, three sets that are an emanation of serial sets. Two for Polish Lancasters for a 1/32 cabin model from Border Models.

Those sets are sent for printing on Monday and if you are interested, we ask you to click "notify about availability", this will allow us to print the appropriate quantity, because we regularly want to maintain stock depending on popularity, from 1 to 5 pcs.
